Dixon May Fair Returns After a Two-Year Hiatus May 5 – 8, 2022
DIXON, CA – Farm animals and carnival rides are returning to the Dixon May Fair once again in 2022. Organizers of the Dixon May Fair are excited to announce the return of the traditional annual event after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’re back!” said Patricia Conklin, CEO. “We are so excited to announce the return of this beloved annual event May 5th through the 8th. Our Fair patrons have let us know how important the Fair is to our community and to the youth who participate with their livestock. We’ve missed everyone!”
Planning is underway for a “Super Fun” Dixon May Fair that will celebrate its 145th year. Livestock will once again be at the Fair featuring young agriculturalists showcasing their skills. Talented artists, photographers, crafters, bakers and more will once again be able to show off their skills to the community during the four-day event. Carnival rides, live entertainment, food and fun are planned for this community celebration themed “Super Fun”.
Those youth planning on exhibiting a Market Steer at the 2022 Fair need to be aware of the following deadlines and requirements – FFA advisors, 4-H leaders, Grange leaders or parents of independent juniors must pick up tags prior to January 5, 2022. Tags and paperwork will be available for pick up in the Dixon May Fair office from December 1, 2021 – December 17, 2021 and January 3, 4, and 5. Paperwork, entry fees, bill of sale and picture (front & side view) must be returned to the fair office no later than January 5, 2022 at 5 p.m. Entry fees and entry forms must be paid by January 5.
Looking forward to the 145th Dixon May Fair May 5th-8th, 2022
